Lousy September 7, 2010 Kove 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thing worked for a very short period (a couple of weeks) and then stopped to react. I have cycled through all connectors and now after only a few months of use I have none of the connectors left still working. I would not recommend wasting money on this product.
Great Value September 1, 2010 m. alexander lowe (Irving, TX United States) It works great, basically plug and play, I now have all my DVR's, DVD players etc. hidden in my cabinet. This was by far the simplest and cheapest option, especially since this works with my ATT Uverse box which a lot of similar products aren't compatible with. Customer service was great too, I called before I bought it and they were very helpful and easy to reach. I don't see why I would need to spend more.
Good product, Great quick customer service August 27, 2010 Tim (Rockville, MD, USA) Just got this product 2 days ago. Very easy to hook up, and the 3 components I am controlling worked without a hitch. I'd been looking at this type of product for about 2 months, but was afraid to commit because the more I read, the more it sounded like these products were as simple as the manufacturers claimed they were. I was tempted to go with a Niles Audio product that cost about 4 times as much as this one.
When I first hooked it up, I couldn't find the IR on my DVD player, so I called the toll free number listed in the paperwork that came with the product to ask if this perhaps was an unsupported device. Found out that its not, I was just having a problem finding the IR. It took me very little time to reach customer service...no complicated voice prompt system...right from the operator to the CSR.
I'll update this review if there are any negative changes, but so far it works just as intended. No complaints. I only gave the product 4 stars, because I've got nothing else to compare it to.
Very good, though cables a bit cumbersome. August 23, 2010 Adrian O. Rodriguez Very easy to set up and operate. The cable system is a bit cumbersome, but the reality is that once you set it up, you're not going to mess with it again. It works like a charm and I easily hid the LED light behind the edge. I see it's reflection so I know it's working but it's not a bright annoying light. Overall I'd definitely recommend this product AND you save the tons that installers try to get from you to have a "fancy" wireless universal system.
Too Sensitive....needs to warm up... August 18, 2010 Anthony Della Fave After being very impressed by this product on the first day, I can no longer give this product a 5 star rating. After the first day, i noticed that each time i turned my Television on, the blue activity light would be lit up very strongly. For the first few days I tried to move the location of the receiver, I kept thinking that maybe the loose tape i had used to fasten it on allow it to slip and turn. But each time i moved it, it was the same thing. It would work fine for the rest of the TV watching session once i found a good spot for it, but the next time i went to watch TV it was lit up again. It seems to be a long lag time on a noise suppression filter that the product uses. I now keep the receiver in the same spot, behind the TV sticking up from the TV stand, facing forward, but each time i turn the TV on, the blue activity light remains lit for the first 5 to 10 minutes of watching TV until the IR unit adjusts to the new noise levels. During that time i'm unable to use the remote due to the high noise level, blue light. I'm using it with a Samsung LN46B750. If there's any more suggestions, let me know.
