A regular water filterSeptember 8, 2010 ChaseofIdaho Works really well. My water always tastes better when I'm using it. The price on amazon is pretty good, better than any local store. I usually will reset the time on my fridge 1 to 2 times before replacing and I've never really noticed any adverse effects (about every 9 months or so). I don't think it necessarily is any better than the rest and for that I gave 4 stars, but at the same time not any less. For what it's worth having the inline filter in the fridge is way nicer and more convenient than the Britta Pitchers and would always recommend this route over the other.

I ordered from the part number on the old filter and received the correct filter without any problems. It was easy to install and if I any complaints, it is the splash of water when the air is released the first time you use the water dispenser. After replacing the filter, use a large glass and run about 4-5 fills through the dispenser to clear the air from the lines.
