I am glad that my cookware will finally stand up to the heat in my kitchen, but cookware of this calibre and price should have come with good quality knobs in the first place. It really irks me that my original Le Creuset knobs disintegrated due to oven heat! When a utensil is rated for temps as high as 500 degrees, it makes no sense to outfit it with a cheap knob that cannot go above 350! I would have gladly paid an extra $10.00 to get Le Creuset cookware that is completely ovenworthy! As it is, there is an unpleasant aftertaste in my gut, and a feeling that the Le Creuset has tried to fleece me! Not a worthy image for a high end cookware company... :(

On review of others, I purchased this replacement knob for my Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 6-3/4-Quart Wide French Oven, Flame. The lid, being wide, is very heavy, but this knob handles it's heft with ease. The screw that held the old knob on was sufficient for the stainless steel knob & replacing it was a breeze. A good addition to a pot that will last my lifetime.

I ordered this so I could get free shipping on my order. It looks like Le Creuset must have corrected the screw length problem that so many people wrote about. The one that came with my knob looked much shorter than 2 inches and fit perfectly. I was all ready to use the original screw that came with the lid but did not have to and I now have one of each knob if I wanted to change it up. I took off 1 star for having to buy something that should have been standard, especially considering the high price of Le Creuset cookware to begin with.

This 2" knob works perfectly for the Lodge Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Ovens (3 and 6 QT) and the 3 QT Casserole Oven. Like the other reviewers stated, it's quite aggravating that these Enameled Cast-Iron pieces do not automatically come with a high-temp knob, but for under 10 bucks, I'm willing to just fork out the funds to replace the knobs.
To install on the Lodge lids, just use the screw that holds the current plastic knob, and screw the stainless knob right on. Takes under a minute, fits perfectly, and now the dutch oven is truly oven-ready.
